Initial situation – particular feature

Conception of a thermal bath as an important tourist year-round leisure attraction. Offers specifically themed and location-specific for guests and locals should be developed to distinguish themselves from other facilities in the catchment area. Areas such as sports, health and wellness, adventure and relaxation should be covered as well as sports activities for young and old.

Location plot

Located in the middle of the Reutte nature park region, with a magnificent view of the Ehrenberg Castle ensemble and the surrounding mountains of the Lechtal Alps and the Allgäu Alps.

Design idea

The architectural design language is kept in clear proportions and in its entirety on the property. The exposed location to the southern mountain panorama was optimally designed via transparent facades with sun protection glazing. The interior design concept incorporates details of the landscape of castles in the region. Thus, regional peculiarities regarding materiality are reflected in the interior design concept and create identity with the surrounding landscape.

Open and closed clearance sequences depending on usage and function define the inner-spatial qualities.
