In the traditional spa town of Bad Düben, as part of a spa development plan, new leisure facilities with uses such as the bathing hall, sauna area, medical baths section with healing treatments, catering and convention and conference facilities were to be created.
Park property with historic trees adjacent to recreational area of “Dübener Heide”
The design integrates the required uses over a large area and in harmony with the attractive exterior spaces of the park property. The central entrance area allows all visitors to easily orient themselves in the interior of the complex. Large-scale designed transparent façade surfaces over 2 storeys and brightly designed facades in the bathing hall mark the architectural design concept of the spa facility. Natural planting areas and the indirect lighting concept combined with accentuated underwater pool lighting create a warm and visitor-friendly day and night atmosphere.
